AAIM Appointed Board Member / AR PBS Commissioner
Anne Canada is the library media specialist for Paris Middle School, a position she has held since 2006. She is also a governor-appointed member and current Tresurer of the AR PBS Commission.  Prior to 2006, Anne worked as an elementary teacher and a middle level language arts teacher. Mrs. Canada has been a member of AAIM since 2006 as well as a frequent AAIM conference presenter. Anne’s AAIM committee chairmanships and co-chairmanships include Publicity, Student Media Festival, and Student Media Awards, 2019 AAIM President-Elect/Conference Chair and 2020 AAIM President.  She is currently serves as the vendor's co-chair and an appointed board member of AAIM. In 2018 Mrs. Canada served on the Arkansas Department of Education Instructional Media Specialist Frameworks Revision Committee. Mrs. Canada is part of the 2018-2019 Arkansas Declaration of Learning team and as such earned one of four "Best of the Best" distinctions . She is a long standing National Writing Project Teacher Consultant and in that role has conducted professional development for educational coops and school districts. In the fall of 2018 Anne attended the Moth Teacher Institute in NYC. She is a hometown girl who embodies the idea that growth and learning happen through connection and questioning. She is a staunch advocate for students and teachers alike, working diligently to support learners and learning.
