Kate Hart is the author of young adult novel AFTER THE FALL (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), a 2017 Arkansas Gem selection. She's also a contributor to the 2018 anthologies HOPE NATION (Philomel) and TOIL AND TROUBLE (Harlequin Teen) as well as 2020's ALL OUT NOW (Inkyard) and BODY TALK (Algonquin).

After studying Spanish and history at Hendrix College, Kate taught young people their ABCs and wrote grants for grownups with disabilities, then helped run YAHighway.com, a three-time pick for Writer's Digest's "101 Best Websites for Writers." In addition to writing, she now owns Natural State Treehouses with her spouse, and sells woodworking and fiber arts at local stores and TheBadasserie.net. An Oklahoma native, she is a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation with Choctaw heritage, and lives in northwest Arkansas with her family.
