Ricky Manes

Ricky Manes grew up in NE Arkansas, and moved to NW Arkansas where he graduated from Bentonville High School. He is an alumni of Northwest Arkansas Community College and the University of Arkansas where he majored in History and Secondary Education. He also picked up his building administration licences while at the University of Arkansas. He has proudly served the Bentonville School District for 21 years where he has been a sixth and eighth grade teacher, middle school team leader, 21st Century Educator, and History Department Chair. He was honored as a three year nominee for the Disney Teacher of the Year, and previous winner of the Bentonville Schools Middle Level Teacher of the Year. His passion is Holocaust Education, and he has served on the board of the Arkansas Holocaust Education Committee for the last 10 years. His biggest accomplishment is being married to his best friend and they have two wonderful boys. Taylor (27) has a PhD in Chemistry and works for Livermore National Lab in California. Samuel (21) is pursuing his degree in Music and Secondary Education at Northwest Arkansas Community College, and plans to continue at the University of Arkansas.
