Of the 27 years that Dr. Taylor has been in education, the past 16 years have been in educational technology. Currently, he serves as an Instructional Technology Specialist in the Little Rock School District. He is one of two instructional technology specialist providing training and professional development for teachers and administrators on integrating technology in the classroom. The department provides training and support for a wide range of programs and emerging technologies. He is currently involved with the continuation of implementing 1:1 devices, Office 365 and Google integration, digital curriculum, collaboration tools, video production, live streaming and coordinating roster data integration for application in the classroom. He is also an advocate for data security and student data privacy. He has participated in technical trials and pilots for SMART Technologies, Compass (Edgenuity) Learning and most recently the Nureva SPAN Ideation System. He has been a member of ISTE since 2006, and in 2007, he was part of the 3rd Cohort for the ISTE/Johns Hopkins Administration & Supervision graduate certificate program. In 2013, he became an Apple Foundations Trainer, an his areas of Interest in Technology include: Multimedia, Emerging Technology, Cognitive Theory, Digital Equity, video production and Music. He holds Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas, a Masters of Arts Teaching in Educational Technology from Webster University, a graduate certification in Administration and Supervision with an emphasis on technology leadership from Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph. D. in Educational Technology from Walden University.
